Grahame Robb Associates are delighted to announce that we are supporting the work of Compassion UK, a charity dedicated to aiding children living in poverty, by sponsoring a child in need.

For over 60 years, Compassion UK has been dedicated to child development, primarily focusing on gaining sponsorship for children living in poverty. The ministry works to motivate and inspire the children to see the full potential of life; to guide them away from the cruelty of poverty and focus on their personal development.

They work worldwide alongside local churches and communities to fulfil the needs of the children. Compassion’s core aim is to ‘release children from poverty’ and focus greatly on physical, spiritual, social and emotional development of children.

When we first became aware of the work Compassion UK are doing, there was a clear synergy between our values and our own focus to 'release the potential of individuals, teams and organisations'. When the opportunity was brought to the team, we unanimously voted in favour of sponsoring a child (chosen at random), recognising the invaluable work that Compassion does.

GRA now sponsors Hiwot, a nine year old girl living in the heart of Ethiopia, in the hillside community of Nazareth. She lives with her parents and three siblings. Unfortunately, resources such as education and cleanliness are limited to the community. Through sponsorship, Hiwot has access to medical check-ups, life skills training, HIV/AIDS awareness programmes, supplementary food, clothing, shoes, school supplies, health education and recreational activities.

Jodie Clarke, our Marketing Coordinator, is the main point of contact for Hiwot within GRA and sends hand written letters on a regular basis.
