Grahame Robb, Managing Director of GRA, has just returned to the UK after facilitating a leadership programme for the Soneva Group in the Maldives at their magnificent Soneva Fushi resort. The programme focused on the organisation’s SLOW LIFE philosophy: Sustainable-Local-Organic-Wellness Learning-Inspiring-Fun-Experiences.
“As a trainer for 25 years, I’ve had the opportunity to visit some fantastic locations, extravagant offices and meet some great people. However, it’s fair to say, I don’t normally work in such exotic surroundings as I have done for the past week,” said Grahame.
Grahame continued, “Getting to grips with the concept of "No News No Shoes" has been a challenge. It is definitely a first to be training in bare foot, t-shirt and shorts, with the Indian Ocean in front of you. Delegate lack of concentration is not the issue here; it is more about ‘trainer concentration’.”
Despite the spectacular views and immaculate sandy beaches, Grahame was there to work. He was facilitating a training programme for eleven senior leaders within the Soneva Group in the first of several training modules.
The first module focused on enhancing leadership skills, improving self and team awareness and helping participants to understand how their behaviour impacts others as well as business results.
