Our People

We are proud of the dedication, commitment and energy that our staff have to both GRA and our clients.

With many years of business, training or HR experience, our staff have successfully designed and delivered training and development programmes for all types of organisations, from start-ups to established global blue chip companies. They also work across most areas of the public sector and from board level to front line staff.

Grahame Robb

With over 25 years in Organisation Development, Grahame is an enthusiast who can inspire individuals, teams and organisations to lift their game, challenge themselves and achieve beyond their expectations. He has extensive experience in developing leadership and team skills across the globe and has worked with Executive Boards of many leading companies. He is accredited in Belbin Team Role Profiles, MBTI and is a Client Certified Trainer in Crucial Conversations.  Grahame has led significant culture change programmes to aid ailing companies, revive passion, focus on customers and integrate businesses following a merger. “My mission is simple, I enjoy helping people to believe in themselves and achieve what they aspire to”. Karen Robb

Karen has over 25 years experience in HR and training, and is passionate about developing teams and individuals to reach their full potential. She has worked extensively in both the private and public sectors and is comfortable with working at strategic, operational and tactical levels, from board level to front line staff. With her background in HR, she embraces the people issues that exist within organisations – and these are reflected in the design and delivery of her training programmes. Karen excels in the practical and pragmatic use of Belbin Team Role Theory (she is a National Trainer / Examiner) and Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) for team and personal development interventions, and leads the development of GRA’s presentation skills training courses.  Karen is also a Master Trainer in Crucial Conversations - the only one in the UK.

Harry Cannon

Harry is a project and programme manager, trainer and consultant with experience in many types of project. Whether you need to get a grip on your many projects, manage an important programme, develop high-performance project teams or rescue a failing project, Harry has the knowledge and tenacity to help. A flexible approach means you get just the amount of help and support you need, whatever combination of doing, training and consulting is needed.  Harry is a Client Certified Trainer in Crucial Conversations, Crucial Confrontations and Influencer.

Brian Collyer

Brian has over 25 years experience as a Development Trainer and has worked with a wide variety of delegates ranging from senior executives of multinational companies through to graduates on accelerated management development programmes. He specialises in team, leadership and management development and strategic vision and is accredited in Belbin Team Role Theory, and is a Client Certified Trainer in Crucial Conversations.. Brian excels in applying and using experiential learning in both the indoors and outdoors, to reinforce learning in a powerful, pragmatic and personal manner, and maximise the application in the workplace.

Sharon Clish

Sharon specialises in leadership, executive coaching, management and team development. She has held a variety of customer facing managerial positions in retail, leisure and telecommunications and has experience of hands on training in financial services, NHS, and health and beauty environments. An experienced facilitator and learning and development professional, Sharon enjoys assisting teams and individuals to resolve their own issues and commit to real actions, which will move organisations towards achieving their goals. Sharon is an MBTI practitioner and is accredited in Situational Leadership®II

Mark Stacey

Mark Stacey is an experienced and versatile Management Trainer with a proven record of achievement in organising, coaching, designing and facilitating management development programmes. His expertise lies within designing and delivery of specialist Team and Leadership programmes to wide variety organisations across the client spectrum. He has a passion for the great outdoors and has a vast experience in experiential learning events and makes learning relevant, challenging, enjoyable and fun!.

Averil Brown

Averil is a highly innovative coach, working with senior executives to help them manage organisation change, delivering team and leadership development or focused one on one coaching for executives and talent development. She has a track record of success across a range of businesses from large blue chip to smaller enterprises, and comes with twenty years experience in Human Resources, holding a director level post in large FMCG company. Averil is insightful, supportive and challenging in her coaching style having gained professional accreditation in organisation and business coaching from Ashridge. Her range of clients and projects parallel Averil's own diverse skill-set.

Sarah Campbell

Sarah has over 10 years experience in staff development, preceded by a number of management positions in the private sector. Working with the long term unemployed through to managers and directors of large multi-nationals, she has created and run development events over a wide range of topics, including Team Development and Action Planning for Change using her skills in facilitation and ‘challenging the norms’ to help individuals and teams become more effective. Qualified in Belbin Team Role Profiles and Applied Emotional Intelligence, she also is a strong advocate of experiential learning to back up management and personal development theories to raise awareness of people’s ability to reach their potential.

Jackie Robinson

Jackie is an experienced trainer and facilitator with a degree in Psychology and a masters in Social Sciences. In her career of almost 20 years, she has worked in various training roles for small companies and government departments as well as for large corporations. Jackie specialises in development training for groups and individuals, using Belbin Team Role Profiles, relationship strategies and 1:1 support, and has become increasingly involved in the arena of event management in the context of facilitation and support. Her work employs both indoor and outdoor environments to accelerate learning, maximise personal effectiveness and optimise application in the workplace.

Tony Miles

Tony is equally happy working in French or English, and just as versatile when it comes to training, dividing his time between team development programmes and acting as sales and training director for Belbin Associés France Limited, GRA’s sister company. He is proud to have played a major part in introducing Belbin Team Roles to the francophone world through a network of accredited consultants and major European companies and organisations. Tony's close links with France led to his discovery of ColorVote and his subsequent development of the English version of this unique web-based survey tool, which is now available on GRA programmes.

Mike Hart

Mike has been involved in delivering both leadership and team development programmes for the past seventeen years. During this time, Mike has also been responsible for the design and delivery of event management packages. He is a trainer and assessor within the outdoor industry and also works as a consultant in risk assessments and safety procedures. Mike is involved in the delivery of the outdoor experiential elements of many of GRA’s programmes, and specialises in facilitating team and leadership development activities.
